Amazon Australia is a scam

Bought some accessories from A-Z advertised and sold as "known USA brands" paid for them in US dollars with supposedly USA international shipping and received Chinese knock off versions post marked from Singapore via china.
Buyer beware! I will never buy anything from Amazon again period!
I will not go into details but man what a fucked world we live in! I have to now go back to contacting USA suppliers and ask if they are willing to ship overseas.
Many US suppliers just cant be bothered shipping overseas due to the many scammer buyers.

Fishtaco, what a hassle and frustrating Amazon isn’t as good as they should be about verifying the products they sell ive taken delivery on a lot of items that were not as claimed to the point that I’ll usually if it matters buy direct or only from listed vendors. I don’t know if the Amazon Australia customer service is the same as it is in the US, but I’d google the phone number and call them directly they are usually good about making things right.

Damn, that really stinks. I take it the product wasn't sold and fulfilled by Amazon?

My experience is that Amazon USA is very good, even with the third party sellers. I've never once had an issue. However, Amazon is also huge here in the USA of course.

If the product is sold and fulfilled by Amazon, it's even more hassle free to deal with in terms of returns.

Anyways, I hope you get it sorted out. I know it's probably a pain in the ass dealing with US companies not wanting to ship internationally. In all fairness to them though, it can be a big pain in the butt and the shipping costs are also usually more than most want to pay.

It isn't that we can't be bothered, it is just once it crosses the border, we have very little recourse if the buyer says they didn't get the product or shipment. We ship some of the smaller stuff to select area but nothing big or expensive.
