Anyone use their TJ as their daily driver?

Kinda depends on your jeep.
5 inch lift on 35s with 5.13 gears, probably not.
Almost stock, plenty do daily service.
I don't rely on mine as sole transportation, its a toy, a serious off road toy. I do drive it, 2k or so a year plus wheeling it regularly.
My wife's jku, 2 inch lift, 33s, heated seats, alpine stereo, nav unit, remote start = driver for her, she loves it and can write off the gas as a business expense.
The accord is a good reliable car, doesn't eat much, if it's payed for keep it.

I've owned many cars and motorcycles. TJ has been around the longest.
I'll daily it this week and see how it goes. I know what I'll end up doing, I was just wondering what the concensus would be.

If the day is dry I drive mine to work.(15 - 20 miles each way)..stock height on 31's. Weekends wet or dry its always my TJ on and off road.
Every other daily for me. Tacoma, TJ, Tacoma, TJ...TJ usually wins out on the weekends, though.

I only have 33s and 2.5" OME with 1.25" BL and it rides very nice. The kicker for me is I live 5 miles from work lol. The GF loves the jeep so that helps. I've had a few stealerships contact me already wanting to buy my car. Not going to give it away so if they make me an offer I can't refuse I just may jump on it.

5 miles wow...you just get it warmed up and your already there lol....Driving my TJ I always take the long way home haha
5 miles?! Sure, why not. Hell, I am 5 miles from a fwy. For me, not a chance. My commute is 152 miles round trip.

I drive mine daily. Mine is stock. I commute about 10 miles both ways.

Out of curiosity, Did you need any extended bump stop with your setup? I’ll be at the same spot early next year.

I love driving my Jeeps too. However the biggest advantage in not having to daily it (IMO) is having the freedom in having a daily driver that I dont have to worry about.
Here me out. I take one of my streetable TJ’s out and hit the trails and I shatter the spider gears in the rear axle (or any part) on a Sunday afternoon...I can limp it home, get it in the garage, torn apart, inspect it, order parts, and wait for the parts to arrive. Monday morning I get in my daily driver (Chevy car) and drive to work without having to worry or stress about getting my Jeep fixed before Monday morning.
I know not everyone has the money to have a daily and a Jeep to take out on the weekends but it does carry a big advantage.
I spent a week (week nights) doing a head gasket just because I could take my time because I had a daily driver that I could rely on to get me to work and the parts stores. It was very stress free with no rush.
Not trying to be negative but I dont think a dealership is going to offer you what you could get via private party. Sometimes they use that tactic to get you into the dealership and then string you along.
