Are the 2004 TJ Gauges Analog or PCI Bus if they are PCI Bus is there a gateway available from PCI bus to J1939. You all think I am crazy but I want to build a center console and add a spare Lowrance HDS 9 Gen 3 MFD touch screen that I have. I have another unit in my boat and think that it would be well suited for off road applications, with GPS, Maps, Media, Engine Management and fuel data, it communicates with NMEA 2000 Protocols and can be interfaced with J1939 Protocols via gateway and it can be interfaced with Can bus Protocols via a gateway and a gateway is available for analog gauge interface, however no Gateway is available for PCI bus Protocols.

I think @NashvilleTJ has a Lowrance in his TJ...
I do - the HDS 7 - but it’s not integrated in the way the OP is describing.

OP - to answer your questions the ‘04 TJ/LJ is the PCI setup, but I have no clue on the interface. It will be interesting if you can pull it off.

Yeah I know on older inboards with analog gauges there is a gateway MERCURY-Analog-Interface-8M0109741, I thought that would be a pretty slick set up use the HDS 9 MFD and run a Lowrance Sonic hub Stereo have one in my boat and love it, and be able to monitor all the jeeps engine parameters while still leaving the original instrumentation intact, along with MAPS, GPS, Bluetooth, DM, Sat Radio and Realtime sat Weather, and you can interface your VHF radio
