Arizona Back to the Desert 🏜️

Sorry, Bob. Life has been super crazy lately and I haven’t been checking the form much. I should be available as long as I can plan ahead on certain times and dates.

I know what you mean I’ve been really busy lately also. Maybe we’ll have a good plan on trails and time in the next few days and hopefully it will work to everyone’s schedule.

I haven’t done very much exploring north of crown king or anything up toward Prescott.
Tagging @Beestinger for some ideas.
I’m game for whatever we can figure out.

Looking purty good for weather next weekend 50s lows and 70s highs, otta be good times! If y’all wanna do Table Mesa stuff that’s cool, it seems like a good choice of trails in the area.

Greg,

Here are a couple of the more "challenging" trails that come to mind in the Prescott area. There are several more trails in the area as well, just depends on weather and the difficulty factor you are looking for.

The trails below can be done with a "stockish" Jeep as there are bypasses for most of the difficult obstacles.

I did read above that Milt mentioned Desoto Maine trail

Table Mesa is always good as are the trails down by Florence.

My schedule is hit or miss right now, but if I'm available I am in!

I spoke with Bob last night and he is in route to AZ. 20 hours staring through the windshield getting here and not really looking to drive a long way north or south getting to trails.
So I am suggesting .......
Saturday, DeSoto mine. Meet just west of I-17 exit 248 @8:00am. Plan to take the trail all the wat to Senator HWY and then to Crown King. From there we can decide on return route. Dirt road through Bumble Bee, Turkey Creek, Back way.....this is suitable for almost any Jeep.
Sunday, Table Mesa. 8:00am west of I-17 exit 236, first large parking area on the left........We can decide trails on the fly depending on who shows up. So many to choose from Crap Shoot to Anaconda.
We can flips the days and scale trails if it accommodates more people participating. Let 's discuss.

(kind of missing our trail run instigator this year)

Count me in for Saturday. Iffy for Sunday....Anaconda and Judgement Day sound like they may be a bit 'beyond my build'.

And, as tradition goes...I've got fresh, grapefruit on my tree. Greg and Bob, I'll bring bags for you guys. Anyone else....I have

Well we made it, finally! Major wreck out on the 10 south of Phoenix was a 2+ hour delay what a cluster. We’ll see y’all in the morning at the bumble bee/ exit 248! Looking forward to it! Thanks

Hey, you missed the 3+ hour shutdown on I-10 in Tempe at Elliot Road yesterday. Seems we have a major crash / freeway shutdown on a regular basis around here.
