Barricade rock slider question

So I purchased a set of barricade rock sliders for my daughters Jeep. I go to install them, and the second I go to install it between the body and the body mounts, I’m already asking questions. As a mechanic myself, it already doesn’t look right to install a flat piece of steel where a recessed body mount is.
I look around and everyone is saying no issue, so I continue and install it anyway. Well now the front body mount will not completely seat against the body.
Anyone had this issue, and if so how did you fix it?

do most people cut the bushings down? I don’t see anything on any of the instructions I’ve seen and I’ve checked multiple. I think that’s got to be the only way. Otherwise you have to basically fully collapse one side of the body mount bushing to get it to pull the body to the frame. This will just destroy the rubber in a pretty short time frame.

I don't know for sure, but I don't think I'd cut the bushings.

Most people on here don't care for the style of sliders that mount between the frame and body. I hope you can find a suitable answer though.

Well, I found poison spyder has the same style and they say to cut 3/16” out of the bushing. I’ll likely just order a new set and take them to work and cut them to length on the bandsaw there. These would be fine if they just cupped the part where the bushing and body meet, but that’s probably too much metal work for $300 Chinese rock sliders.

Had I known half of these parts were all China made, I just would’ve coughed up the extra dough for metal cloak fenders and rocker guards. Even if it is for my daughters Jeep.

Yes, I’ve read that shaving / cutting the bushing was a way of mounting a lot of these type rocker guards or sliders. I avoided these in particular for that reason. But that was me being a maniac and reading everything and anything online that I could.
