Beware Yukon Gear's Kit AK1563 on Dana 35

Just a PSA that Yukon Gear’s AK1563 bearing and axel seal kit for Dana 35s is trash. The bearing is nice, I got 2 Koyos. The seal is absolute trash. The outer diameter of the seals fit so tight that IF you can smash it in it will bend concave and NOT seal around the axels. I’ve bailed on these junk seals and sought out two from Timken instead which match the OE “flange” style seals. I’ll pull this trash as soon as they show up… not worth the risk of running these bowed seals that will surely blow diff fluid all out the tubes.

Anyway, just thought you fellas should know from my pain in the ass project. Doing my part!

Timken isn’t the product we all grew up with, I tend to source out National Bearings and seals these days. Nothing special, but neither is Timken any longer, just sayin!😉

I’ve had good luck with both Timken and National with the exception of 1 National outer seal that was a little too loose on a different vehicle.
