Broken Rear Sway Bar

2006 TJ, 3-1/2" lift, 1" body lift, G2 Dana 44 rear axle, 35" tires. Was out 4-wheeling today and broke my rear sway bar. Seeing how I bought this Jeep used, not sure what sway bar was installed.

Any recommendations on a replacement rear sway bar? The sway bar links are still good, so I am assuming I can reuse them.

I just replaced my sway bar links from Moog ...a bit thicker than stock and only 16 bucks each...just thought if your replacing the sway could be a good idea to do those as well. Comes with new bushings too

I not seen a broken rear before, you might consider installing new extended rear sway bar links when you do the new rear sway bar, that may be why it broke. Where is the break, post a picture up. I just installed 3" extended rears in mine for $31. Welcome from a Newer Mexican!

The rear links I have are 10" between hole centers. It broke right where the sway bar goes into the bushing mounted on the axle.

Just stuff a stock swaybar in there. The aftermarket ones I have seen all are thicker and probably less flex. Or go Currie if you want.

So I verified that I do indeed have 3" extended rear sway bar links installed on my rig. Stock sway bar links are 7" on center......the ones I have are 10" on center.

Like I've always been told.....if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself!!!!

Mine broke in the same area. Fresh rock rash, snapped it like a pencil.

Ouch, that shock mount took a beating too.

Yeah, it was a fun day of trail maintenance and joy riding.
I was also dragging my trailer filling it with the "stacker" rocks to get them away from the gate keepers.
