Are we ready lol! I've always liked travel songs and I've always liked busses so what could be better? If you thought truckin songs were scarce.......These are all in my collection.

Hoyt Axton "An Old Greyhound" Hoyt was a tour bus driver before he made it in recording and acting. During his music tours he did his own driving in his 1955 Scenicruiser bus that he named "Honeysuckle Rose" The original Scenicruisers had twin GMC built (Detroit) 4-71 engines.

My kids aren’t at that age anymore. But I remember when they were. It was stuck in my head all the time. Glad I could return the favor 😆

When I was around 12 or 13 My Mom took me, my sister and my brother from Tucson to Chicago and back on a Greyhound. Don't recall it being too bad but then I was pretty young. I remember looking forward to the post stops. The reason for the trip kind of haunted me because it was just after my folks had split up and we moved to Tucson with Mom, nobody ever told me why we went back to Chicago the following Summer to visit my Dad very briefly but I always suspected it was a failed attempt to reconcile.

Oh, man. Stuff like that sucks. 😕 Your story did remind me, however, that I most certainly HAVE been on a bus before. In fact, I cannot believe that I’d forgotten it, as it was a Greyhound from Saratoga Springs, NY to Seattle, WA in 1984. That trip introduced me to some of the strangest people…and a tarantula!
