I'm guessing when you blew the diff you half blew the transfer. What range were you in when you blew it up? And were there any notables when you first shifted into 2L first time after?
Just one final suggestion OP before removing the transfer case. You stated you’ve removed the range sensor to eliminate it as an issue. Remove plug number 24, spring & poppet for inspection.
hey so i have a 2005 jeep rubicon and i can’t get it to go into 4 low. i’ve already adjusted the linkage so i know that’s not the problem. it feels like it doesn’t exist like there’s something blocking it. i have a 3 inch suspension lift and a 1 inch body lift. any ideas?

This happened to me after I changed my clutch out and I accidentally messed with the alignment. For the life of me I could not adjust the linkage perfectly to select 4L so u thought it was a problem with my t case. So I got a wood dowel and pushed it into 4L from under the jeep and it wouldn’t go. I had read some where it’s easier to get into 4L while moving very slowly so I chalked the rear wheels and had my dad rock the jeep forward and back about a foot. This did the trick and it popped into 4L. So that told me it was the linkage and not the t case so I am now looking for a good cable shifter to I stall
