The Codes are both front and back 02 Sensors. I changed them with the good one NTKs. I reset the computer I drive it approximately 36 miles and the engine light comes on again. At a red light the engine suddenly drops in RPMs and acts like it is go to stall but all of a sudden begans to idle smoothly again. I changed the donut exhaust gasket, the gas cap and sent the computer off to have the drive flashed, but still the engine light comes on. What is the problem with it? Is it the Catalyst Converter? I was told they are designed to last the life of the vehicle. Someone tell me how to fix this.
There's a good chance you ave a short in the wiring somewhere.
Also, whoever told you that a catalytic convertor lasts the life of the vehicle is lying. That is so far from the truth it's amazing.
Check the wiring first (which is going to take you hours and hours to do it throughly).

The entire wiring harness, but start with the O2 sensor wiring to the PCM of course.
Yes the Engine was running really rough before I changed the 02 sensors with the NTKs. The Check engine light last year would not come on for hundreds of miles, but now at around 36 to 37 miles the check engine light comes on and at a red light the RPMs drop, the engine acts like it wants to stall, but within a second or two the RPMs rise back up to normal and the idling gets steady again. It doesn't happen again, even with me continuing to drive it with the engine light on. The codes that come up are P-0032 and P-0038. I have researched these code and it's the 02 sensor codes. This 2006 Jeep Wrangler SE TJ has a 2.4 liter engine, 4 cylinder and is a great driving jeep other than this one problem. I am stumped on this. Can you help Rcroane?
If I were you, I would give Mark at WranglerFix a call and see if he thinks it might be your PCM. (866) 888-7710.
I mailed the PCM off and they supposedly flashed the drive, but I will call him tomorrow. Wouldn’t want to bother someone on Sunday by Phone. Anyway Thanks Bud.
