Click noise when Shift into Drive or Reverse

I’m getting a metal on metal noise strictly when I put the jeep in reverse or back into drive

Sounds like a single click

Note* there is also a card against a fan noise that developed at the same time don’t know if this is related

4.0L I6 Auto Trans

Any help diagnosing this?? Tia.
