Cluthch and brakes quit working at the same time

I was pulling the neighbor's car out of a little mudhole the other day and while clutched in waiting for him to hook up the tow strap, my jeep began to crawl forward. (It was in 4 low) At the same time I noticed my brake pedal acting up, like it was not working (getting soft). I killed it, took it out of gear and put it in 2WD. Started it back up and after pumping the clutch a few times got it back. It did it again once I tried to leave, while sitting clutched in and in 1st gear it wanted to roll and the brakes acted crazy.

Once I pumped the clutch and brakes a few times after killing it and re-starting it would be fine. I could use it to take off and shift through gears like normal. It only acted up when I sat for a minute, clutch fully engaged and in gear. Another thing to note is the clutch wouldn't spring back fully when it would happen.

Any ideas are appreciated. 2002 Jeep TJ Sport 4.0L 5 speed

Brake master cyl is bleeding by the seals, Clutch was prolly always slightly grabbing but you just never noticed it until the brakes started going out. I had a brand new brake master cyl do that right out of the box. Worked great stopping the Jeep, but sitting at a light I would slowly loose the brakes until I let go and hit the pedal again. Try splitting the issue into two separate i problems for troubleshooting purposes. Hold the brakes with the Jeep in neutral so the clutch issue doesn't matter, and then hold the clutch in using the parking brake to hold the Jeep instead of the brake pedal.
