Control Arm Question on 2" OME Lift

While installing my 2" OME lift on my 2005 LJ we noticed that the bushings are toast and need to be replaced. So I figured I might as well just replace all 8 control arms while I'm in there.

So my question is, should I just do upper rear adjustable with the other 6 fixed to save a good chunk of money?

Or do fixed across the board?

Or should I bite the bullet and do adjustable across the board?

I don't see myself ever installing a larger lift or running larger than a 33" tire. I would also place better on road manners as being more important to me than off road capabilities.

At 2" in an LJ are you even having drive line angle issues? If not, non adjustable arms will be cheaper especially if your focus is on road over off road.

No reason to add adjustable control arms if you only ever plan on a 2" lift and no tummy tuck.

I'd just put the Crown replacement arms in place of them:

All 8 of them with bushings already pressed in, ready to bolt-in and be done.

You could go with all adjustable arms which certainly wouldn't hurt. But at 2" of lift, I'm not sure it's completely necessary.

I would suggest that you stay with non-adjustable OE style control arms. Hell of a lot cheaper, and proven to work well, especially with a simple lift like 2 inches.

I currently have 3 inches of lift with all stock control arms, new replacements. Drives great no, complaints at all. Even better is that there’s no maintenance like required for adjustables.
