co-worker tells me he sees what looks like coolant under my Jeep today, so I go out pop the hood and it looks like a mud ball exploded under there. I pull off the radiator cap and it looks like there's mud in my radiator and on my radiator cap. Do a Google Search and one of the more common issues that come up with this is the use of Dexcool, has anybody had an issue with this maybe the PO used Dexcool in it?

Probably way overdue to service. Fix whatever leak issues you have and flush the system (radiator, engine, heater core) with a garden hose, you can buy a flush kit at any auto parts store, or Walmart. Flush everything until the water runs clean. Then flush it again in the other direction. Fill it back up with coolant of your choice. I use the green shit mixed 50/50 with water.

Make sure you pop out the block drain plug. I just did a complete change on my coolant and a ton came out once that plug was removed (and showered me in nasty old coolant).

I used a 60/40 mix of Zerex G05 to refill.
