Corrosion

Hi,
I am from UK. I recently purchased a Jeep wrangler TJ Sahara, just run 50000 miles, Beautiful car, Black. I really like jeeps and it is beautiful to see from outside, no much issues now, But there is corrosion underneath the frame, like near the sump (Anyway I am replacing the sump), the frame rails did not corrode much. The rust is mainly in the space between the pipes underneath. My mechanic is saying it cannot be saved and is telling me to sell it. But I really like it and can anyone suggest solutions that I can do to restore it?

Thanks for your reply, should I use rust remover and undercoat the nearby rusts while changing it?

Those pics of the engine block would have me concerned about the freeze plugs and block around them. Odd the block is that bad but that being said Id be really looking hard at the frame. Places like between the skid and frame, control arms, gas tank skid and that sort of thing. Unfortunatly the frames are typically worst inside than what you see outside.
