I installed a Currectlync tie rod and drag link system on my 2003 model X. Very well made piece. Once I torqued the castle nuts I discovered that there was not a hole for the cotter pin in the bolt at the end of the drag link that goes thru the pitman arm. I removed the nut and inspected the bolt. No hole.

Weird.

I called Currie this morning and spoke to the tech. He had not ever heard of that either. He asked for a picture and I told him I would send one tonight after work. He then said "Never mind. I will send out a replacement. Just send us a picture after you get them switched out."

That, in my opinion, is excellent customer service that I see too little of.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with Currie and their customer service. I once had an issue as well, and they fixed it for me no questions asked. They also sent me two Currie t-shirts and a bunch of decals too, all for free!

In my opinion, Amazon has set the bar for customer service. Any company in this day and age should know that in order to succeed, you need to realize that you're selling customer service. When I can get top notch customer service (and returns) from Amazon, I expect it to be the same for anywhere else I order from as well.

Now, my guess is Currie was doing this before Amazon ever came along. However, I'm simply pointing out that if you have shitty customer service in this day and age, you'll go out of business, plain and simple.

I have nothing but praise for Currie, that's for sure.

Have had great support from Currie (Jacob) with my recent install Qs... however, Morris 4x4 kinda left a sour taste after spending hella $$$$ in the last month....

I received my OME lift kit on June 4th, but it was missing the Steering Stab; I called them on the 5th, complied with the requirements (pictures of the parts received), but to date, I'm still dont' have the missing part...

Was planning on more Currie purchases (trac bars, steering link and anti-rock) but my money will be spent else where; to me Customer Service is key, good price is secondary.....

I just saw a post on Facebook of a bad experience with Currie support and within minutes 20 others commented their stories on how Currie basically said deal with it and they had to buy it again. Making me rethink getting their steering kit.

EDIT: Sorry, I was wrong. I thought that was a JK and we were talking about steering, not the Antirock. My new post is below with the correct info.

The JK steering setup by Currie has bad reviews all over the place, so this doesn't surprise me. However, it's a completely different design than the TJ steering system.

The Currie Currectlync for the TJ has rave reviews, and I've never seen a single one that broke (though some assholes have managed to bend them, which they are designed to do, unless you want something worse to break).

You do realize that's a JK, right?

Here's the Currie Currectlync for the TJ (read the reviews):
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003EM9F5M/?tag=wranglerorg-20

So I'll reiterate what I said again. The JK steering setup seems to get bad reviews all over the place. However, the TJ one is not like that at all. It IS the best steering setup you can get for your TJ, and you WILL NOT break it with normal wheeling or rock crawling.

jk? I thought that was an lj?? the problem isnt with the steering, it was with their anti rock which is the same for all models. Im just not wanting to deal with a company that will leave me up creek after spending hundreds more than any other brand. Im surprised to see all the comments on that post with bad stories of their customer service and failure to have any decent warranties.

DAMNIT! You're right... That friggin 10A Rubicon decal threw me off, since those are the ones found on the JKs! You're right, I'm wrong!

I don't know how that guy broke that, it must have been a bad batch, or he was doing something incredibly stupid and isn't disclosing the full truth about how he broke it (I'm inclined to believe the latter).

Either way, it's ultimately your call. I've had my Currie Antirock for 3 years now and never once had an issue... ever.

I have a $3000 Currie lift, and anytime I've had any minor issue, I've called Currie up and they not only sent me a replacement part for free, they also sent me 3 free t-shirts and a bunch of swag as well.

So my experience with Currie does not echo his experience.

Look at it like this... How many bad experiences have you read about with the Currie Antirock? Now tell me how many good experience you've read about.

In defense of Currie, if you go out and smash your new Currie RockJock axle, then call me up and tell me you broke a weld on it, why should I give you a new axle housing? You were after all, out beating up your vehicle off-road.

No amount of design (or metal strength) can make up for stupidity and all out bashing. How do we know he wasn't bashing the hell out of it and caused it to break?

Because I guarantee you that you could break ANY other torsion bar / sway bar disconnects on the market if you tried hard enough.

This is a tricky one... I would want to warranty my products, but how do you as the business owner make sure that your customers aren't taking advantage of you and destroying their Jeep, but then coming back to you and wanting you to give them a free replacement part each time?

Maybe I'm wrong, but does any Jeep suspension component come with a long term warranty? If so, does that warranty cover heavy off-roading use?

FYI, it's worth reading some of the reviews here:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DIYGMLG/?tag=wranglerorg-20

I am reading through all the negative ones as we speak, and all of them are simple things like, "it was missing a part". For something like that, Amazon or Currie will gladly make it right, no questions asked.

I know I probably come off as a Currie salesman. I have zero affiliation with them whatsoever though. I just really, really like their stuff. I also like that Blaine had a lot to do with the design of a number of their products (from what I understand).

I also really like that Currie has very good quality control when it comes to their parts.

The AR sway bar is designed to twist. I could see the bar eventually breaking from the constant twisting back and forth. Being that it's how it is designed to work, and the fact that is used in heavy duty off road situations, I can see them calling it a "wear part" and not replacing it under warranty.

I agree with Rob.

I'll also add that in my years browsing the forums, this is the only time I've ever heard of someone breaking the torsion bar though. So while it is possible, I'm guessing that this guy was probably wheeling the piss out of his vehicle.

That's a fracture right there, caused by improper design or a bad batch of heat treated parts.
Stress crack in the upper left quadrant (notice the minor corrosion?) and then a fatigue failure on the torsion bar. (Notice how the center of where it twisted off is off center on the bar?) My guess is that it was hardened, and then the temper was performed incorrectly. A Currie antirock torsion bar shouldn't break like that. It would be interesting to know the whole story, like how did that crack first get there? Those bars twist up just fine, but don't bend worth beans.
