Hey guys! I’m doing a Dana 44 swap on my Tj using an axle out of an 04 rubicon LJ. I have a question regarding the parking brake. I’ve seen in this forum before that the parking brakes are not the same for the Dana 35 and the disc brake D44s and unfortunately my 44 did not come with the parking brake cables so I’m getting ready to buy new ones. My question is; with the 4” lift I have all the brake lines/ parking brake cables were somewhat unmanageable with my Dana 35 due to not having the length / slack in them to secure them out of the way. Are the LJ parking brake cables longer than the rubicon TJ ones and would the added length benefit me in slack for flexing? Are they interchangeable in a sense I could use either or? do I need to specifically buy the LJ to match the axle or do I specifically need to buy the Tj to match the jeep?
