so lately i’ve discovered that when i turn my jeep over the dash won’t turn on. this occurs about every 2-3 starts and it will turn on after a good whack with a fist or after 5-10 mins of driving. i haven’t touched anything inside my dash that could relate to any cables being loose. anyone have any ideas?

The connections on the back of your gauge cluster are most likely loose. Remove the gauge cluster and inspect.

As Chris stated it could be loose BUSS connectors or oxidized pins/clips behind the instrument cluster; do an inspection of the ignition switch wiring looking for a loose connection or signs of overheating and check the grounding wires that are at the kick panels and under the retaining screws for the in dash speakers.

just went through everything and every seemed to be connected fine besides the right side pin which i ended up cleaning both sides and called it a day cycled the ignition and everything seemed fine
