What's the correct torque spec for that nut? I ask because it might be wise to get a torque wrench out and see if it's torqued to the proper spec. That would tell us something...

Sorry Jerry. I confused myself trying to describe what I'm seeing. The nut is moving in relation to the pitman arm movement. It is staying inline with the ball joint itself and the drag link. There is no forward or backward movement. I presume that's ok? I will have the jeep at the shop tomorrow to have the tires balanced.
As long as the nut is properly torqued (tight enough) so it can't move it should be ok.
Make sure that tire shop knows of the situation and that you give them instructions on how the tires have to be perfectly balanced... not just "good enough". Tell them you want to know before they remount the wheels if they can't get them balanced perfectly.
What do you check if you have wicked awful DW and swap to different wheels and tires, but still have it as bad as before?
