The ‘ol hockey stick gauges. Didn’t care for them in the 80’s and still don’t.

I kind of like the green one! But I agree with the others, I like the gauges still. But I do like clock feature!

I'm seriously considering one, if they were plug n play I'd have one already. The senders/sensors don't bother me, it's the wiring... but you never know, they're on sale now on their website 20% off.

Digital (numerical displays) are a tried but discarded technology. They're slower to interpret and are generally less desirable. Pilots long-ago gave them a thumbs down. They of course still use digital circuitry to drive them but the displays now used in aircraft, spacecraft, vehicles are solid analog representations. Analog instrumentation can be designed so the indicators all give center-scale indications which when everything is as it should be is easy to interpret with a quick glance. When it's just numbers being displayed, you have to stop to read each number to interpret it. Which is why pilots were first to react negatively, followed by everyone else.

Jerry is spot on about the center scale being easier.

The only way that I'd switch to a digital dash is for a racing style where it is basically a screen with fully customizable options. It'd be nice to have some things like trans temp hidden unless it gets over a certain temp etc.

My wife recently bought a vehicle that has both displayed, digital and the tried and true guages.
She actually gets irritated when i disable the digital even though I'm the driver :nono:.
I much prefer guages.

ugly, ugly, ugly..... and impossible to read too. I glance at my gauges and know everything is normal... or not. You actually have to read the numbers with digital gauges. And fit that into the context of what is normal. Louisville Trucks had a great dash in the 1970s.... all gauges pointed 3 o'clock when normal.

Untill the comeup with the display like in the new(10+ year old) "glass cockpit" im going to keep my old unit
