My project for the weekend is to replace a leaky exhaust/intake manifold gasket. My question is do I need to replace the bolts that attach the manifolds to the head?

I reused mine with no problems. I will say that the absolute best way to get the bolts out, and particularly in, is to remove the front fender. It will save you a lot of headaches for 30 minutes or so of additional work.
No but you should clean the bolts threads with a wire brush, and if you can, use a die to clean the threads inside the head.
That way the clean threads help the bolts torque down evenly.
Dab some thread lock on the bolt threads, torque down, and ur done.
I reused mine as well. I second removing the fender. It's worth going out of the way to do so, otherwise you'll be cursing forever. One of the hardest jobs I ever did was replacing the intake / exhaust manifold gasket on my TJ with the fender on. I would have rather dropped the entire transmission, honestly.
