Heya All - just a reminder that the Perseid meteor shower peaks tonight!

This years shower is supposed to be more than *double* the number of meteors than usual, due to the gravitational influence of Jupiter.

Last night was pretty spectacular already, so many fireballs!
Get out *LATE* - like 1 or 2am and you will see something neat.
This pic is from last night, overlooking the Pala valley from the top of Palomar Mountain, CA.
This was a very tiny meteor in comparison to the fireballs I was seeing (but didn't manage to snap).

This was one of the fireballs - a green one - that went really low across the horizon for a good ways... Just not a very well framed picture.

It's tragic... I wish we lived somewhere where there wasn't the amount of light pollution there is.

Sigh... I always love seeing your photos.

I'm afraid we might not be able to see much here in the city. Too much light pollution :(
Thanks! I have a lot of fun going places and taking them :)
You just need to point east a ways and get out of all that light for a little bit!
