So I am done with the rear end rebuild and moving on to the next challenge.
My 2000 2.5 5-speed with 87K purrs like a kitten on start up and idle.
It does what I would call a knock when driving under load. The more you step on the gas the worse it is. Probably the worst in 2nd and 3rd, and goes away when I press in the clutch.
Hard to use the stethoscope because it only does it when driving.
First thing to mind was exhaust leak but now I don’t really know.
Any ideas?
