I recently started DD'ing a '99 Wrangler (l4) with 150k miles on it, and after noticing some oil in the driveway I found out that the engine is leaking some oil (it drips quite a bit, but nothing too extensive). I brought the Jeep to a shop near by for a little inspection, and they said that it was a rear main. I noticed that once the Jeep was warm and running it seemed to a leak a bit more. I decided to take it back, and clean the oil pan to see for myself.
It doesn't seem to be coming from the end of the oil pan where it meets the transmission. I also checked the valve cover gasket and it was completely dry after the car had been running for quite some time. I noticed that it was coming from the oil pan, but couldn't necessarily pin point where even after I cleaned off the oil pan. I was thinking of replacing the oil pan gasket but wanted some input or advice before removing the pieces and grabbing the supplies and parts. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
