So I need to do my rear freeze plug on my 2000 4.0, decided I'm going to pull the engine to do them all. What else should I do when my engine is out, it runs good 124k on it. I don't plan on a complete rebuild but figure I would ask about some things you would freshen up when its out. Thanks!

personally id do the rear main seal, oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket.
all more than capable of doing while motor is in but easier with it out already and a fairly cheap job.

Rear main was i did a month ago and the oil pan, for sure going to do the valve cover, I'm going to check the rear main again when its out.

If you're in doing the RMS, I'd also consider replacing the oil pump. If you do, just make sure to get a Melling pump.
