I have a TJ R with the Banks Sidewinder turbo. First let me say I am a great fan of the system. It absolutely transforms the Jeep. The kit is all inclusive, easy to install and I highly recommend it.

However....... the installation cuts the exhaust pipe between the pre-CATs and the output CAT and from there routes the exhaust to/from the turbo. The resulting joints have clamps to hold the pipes together. This last week my wife got a pretty good case of CO poisoning while riding in the Jeep. I only recognized this because the symptoms exactly matched those of Admiral Byrd when he almost died from CO poisoning (I was reading his book). When I got home I pressurized the exhaust system with a shop vac and the air literally poured out of those clamped joints. Smoking gun! The joints are now totally welded up and the exhaust system is tight.

So while I strongly recommend the system, if you install it don’t trust those clamped joints. At the very least check the system for leaks.
