I'm totally and completely insanely fed up with the part stores, online parts stores, distributors and non-caring manufactures that don't give a @#$! about the customer, only his money!
Sorry for the rant, but I've never had a worse experience than with this engine build. Name brands included. I've returned over 45% of the parts sent to me. From timing gears that look like they were cast in the sand on the beach, to lifters that came out of the box looking like they were polished in a food processor. Ordered a new Melling camshaft, and today... I SWEAR TO GOD, this came from Oreilly's. Comp Cams box labeled "FAULTY MELLING CAM" There is a cam in the box, not a clue what it is..... but they can't seriously believe anyone would stick this in their engine?
Am I the world's biggest Schleprock, or are you all dealing with the same issues?

Thanks! The thing that makes it more of a kick in the butt is the waiting & waiting for part to arrive. It's just hard to believe how bad things have gotten.

I've had my share of WTF parts in the past, but that cam story takes the cake. I'll surely be sharing that one with my car buddies as we reminisce about craftsmanship and taking pride in what you do. You know, ancient history...

I started putting OEM parts away for my JK and TJ because after COVID I don’t trust Stellantis.

Some people scoffed at me in 2021.

Toyota doesn’t seem to have an issue keeping parts supplied to their customers.

I get a phone call one day from a gent. He asks where the handle is for the paper cutter. He states he purchased one from Amazon, when it arrived the pick slip was in the box with my phone number on it, so where's the handle? I tell him it arrived to me without the handle which is why I returned it. I apologized for skipping my usual step of writing the reason for the return in big letters on the outside of the box like I normally do and told him to send it back like I did.

Only decent parts I've gotten have been from Black Magic Brakes.

DeXJs on YouTube is selling good used 4.0 parts. I'd contact him...rather have good used then junk.

I've given up on everything else and just buy the cheapest Chinese parts I can find. Realistically it's all the same stuff made in the same factory...just binned for "quality" and different brand names placed on the box.

My Brute Power $50 Rock Auto fuel pump is going on two years minor issues (float stuck a couple of times hitting big rocks and unstuck itself.)

Oreillyi's,, AFA, mostly RockAuto. DO NOT BUY FROM ShopJeepParts.com! Scam Site! Fighting with PayPal to retrieve my payment. One big problem is "out of stock" items, which force you to shop all over to find the part. Here's what two of the lifters in a pack of four looked like. The other two weren't much better. One spec'd out.0005 crown (almost flat) One was at .003 but the crown was not in the center, it was on the side. These were EngineTech.

I think your expectations are off. I'm pleasantly surprised when I get something from places like o'reillys and rock auto that actually work.

Crap parts suppliers are like crap restaurants to me. I return the subpar products, give them a second chance, then NEVER use them EVER again. Idiots don't learn. Joe?

Lol! Just got back from O'Reilly's. The guys at the store were also dumbfounded. The manager went out of his way to get things straightened out. Corporate told him I probably shouldn't put it in. Lol! Now the long wait for replacement.
