Fender Flare Hardware?

My TJ had those really cheap $60 pocket flares on it when I got it. They were cracking and fit terribly, so I ordered a set of Crown OEM-style replacement fenders with hardware. I removed the old flares (nutserts stripped out but that’s a topic for another post), but since they were already aftermarket, I can’t use the OEM hardware as a template to figure out how/where the new hardware is used. The kit didn’t come with any instructions and I’m not finding anything online.

Does anyone have a write up/video/pic/explanation of what goes where by chance? It should be simple enough but I’m scratching my head a bit. Here’s the kit I have:

Hopefully this it what you need.

M5 bolts and nutserts.
3 behind each front tire.
2 in front of each rear tire.
1 behind each rear tire.

The rest use those plastic nuts and screws.

At least that’s how my ‘06 LJ was.

Thank you! That is extremely helpful. Do you know which direction those plastic nuts lay, (does it matter?). Guessing the flat side goes against the body?

Are the plastic push pins to replace any that may break when removing the inner fender?

The plastic nuts lay flat side against the body on the inside. The screws go through the flares/body and into the nuts. The fronts are easy. The rear can be a little tricky because you gotta get the fender liner out of the way.

I dont know know about the push pins. I would guess they probably are for what you said. I bought a kit of those plastic nuts because my Jeep was missing some. It didn’t come with any push pins though.

This is what I used. It only shows the nuts, but came with screws and I think washers too. I’m not sure on the washers. I can tell you when I get home though. I may have a better pic of the fenders with location of nutserts.

I just checked, and there were no washers, but the screws have a wide head, kind of a built in washer. I looked at my flares and I must have reused the original screw except in the areas where they were missing. The factory ones had big fender washers and I added fender washers to the screws that came with the plastic nuts.

I didn't have any better pics of the body without the flares.
