I'll probably have to change my username here soon, long-time lurker(2018?). I recently acquired a 1998 Jeep TJ sport (Canadian) which has about 315k kilometers 4.0 ax15 with a 35 rear. The unit has some rust in the body mounts and probably more hiding in the rail, but for trading a 1988 4Runner that I had about $1500 into I can't complain too much.

I do have other jeeps as well. I am excited to finally own a TJ. The list of the other Jeeps is a 74 Wagoneer & 81 Wagoneer(Parts), 90 Comanche with a 21 JLU(diesel) as the daily driver.

Welcome Lurker!

Best jeep ever! The size and activity of this forum attests.

Nice score! Also pics of the Wagoneer and Comanche? I love those!

The Comanche I bought lightly wrecked from rolling into a building. The previous owner rattle canned it camo. Which came off the first wash but it runs great and is a great yard work truck until I start body work.

The 74 Wagoneer I bought from a local locksmith who parked it in 2010 although the last registration was 2002.

When I first got it.

is the '21 a ecodiesel ?

Yes it is, 21 JLU ecodiesel. I commute 45 miles one way so I went with a diesel. I've driven a 2.0 3.6 and 392 wranglers, the 3.0 diesel is my favorite drive feeling wise.View attachment 669779

I've got a 2012 1500 eco and love it. 26MPG out of a full size 4 door pickup. whats not to like ! when I was working my drive was 125 miles each way and I loved getting 700+ miles out of a tank of fuel.
