When did a Cobras fangs come from the bottom?

The sad part of this is they probably have people standing in line for them-

Who on here can go back with me to about 1976- I don’t know what all changed but there was never, ever any vehicle personalization to the degree we see today- maybe an occasional VW Beetle with spots, Jeep owners could add KCs and few accessories, but the current culture of dashboards with ducks lined up and atrocities like this baffles me-

America has survived 9/11, 2 world wars, Brittany Spears and the San Diego Padres (every year) but I’m not sure where this is leading us.

I think the reason these things are designed now is because they can be designed on a computer vs. the mid 70's, that wasn't possible.

So someone out there was looking at an angry grill and how awesome it look. Thought to themselves, how can I make this more awesome and maybe make some cash? I know! Fangs! Fuck yeah, that will make me millions!

Did they look at any picture of a cobra? Why waste time getting the fangs in the correct location.
