Hey guys,

I'm going to design and 3D print a bracket to hold my quick disconnects in place when I'm wheelin'. I want to design my bracket to interface to the two holes in the screenshot below. I tried out some #8 and #10 fasteners but to no avail. So I stepped it up to a 1/4-20 screw and it took the first couple of threads but stopped and I didn't want to force it and potentially destroy the threads on the holes. Can anyone confirm if these are 1/4-20 tapped?

I would probably just run a 1/4 x 20 or whatever size tap thru the holes. Doesn't matter what they are now.

If a 1/4-20 started but wouldn't finish, it's probably a 6mm thread.

Retapping as a 1/4-20 may work but won't be as strong as a real 1/4-20 thread.

The 6mm thread may not be as strong as it was originally.

Either way I'd probably drill a 17/64 hole and tap a 5/16 thread in there.
