So, I was on my way to work CEL flashes and stays on and my jeep starts running like crap. Power dropped off like it was a missfire. Pulled over and checked under the hood to find nothing obvious. I restarted it and drove down the road to see what the codes were at a Napa. 300,303 and 203. I replaced the plugs as it was time anyways. 95% increase in power. Still something was not right. After a bunch of reading here and other places I replaced the coil rail and all seemed to be fine for about three weeks. Then more error codes (300) and once it threw a (304) witch was new. So I checked the injectors with my meter once when the engine was hot and once cold. I do believe the #3 injector is bad... I just had too many different readings, sitting outside this mornin i redid it and it was 12.7. However I have found a hole in the coil pack. So it the last three weeks it seems that the new part is no longer functioning. I have a new one on the way.
Questions..
I drove it this way more than i wanted to. How do I tell if the CC is bad now?
Ideas on the coil arcing enough to blow a hole in it?
If the new coil rail stops the problem this time I feel it will just happen again..
Insights Please
Thanks,
Chris
