I recently changed from a soft top to a bikini or sunshade, windjammer and duster cover. The dome light worked ok after changing out the bulb to LED but it was close to useless now with the windjammer blocking most of it.

So I went on a hunt to figure out a light for the front. There's a few posts in member builds of installing a 6 inch light in the front, which I considered.

But I recently installed under cabinet lights in the kitchen and closet lights that are battery operated. With LED and battery technology they last for a long time and are magnetic so when you need to charge it's a simple matter to pop em off and charge them. So I figured what the hell, maybe I can find something similar. I found what I think is an excellent alternative to a permanent, wired install.

@Chris you may need to provide a better link whereas the forum Amazon is used. Not sure how to do that.

This is what it looks like attached with just the magnet. It's really strong and I like the idea I can take it down and use it for a normal flashlight.

This is on high with just the light from the magnetic light.

That's it, just wanted to share what I thought was an easy and cost effective solution to light up the interior.
