Hello all,
New to the forum so any help would be appreciated. Recently I’ve had some vibration around 55 MPH. I had my driveshaft balanced, and still had the issue. I consoled a 4x4 shop and he told me I need to drop my transfer case at least an inch because the driveshafts at too much of an angle. I’ve been meaning to get a slip yoke eliminator but I haven’t had the money, so dropping the T-case seemed like an easy quick fix. After doing so I’ve been hearing an intense quick grind when accelerating and turning left. Everything seems tight underneath and can’t tell where the grinding a coming from.

What size lift?

Auto or manual?

If auto, do you still have the transmission skid? That can interfere with the front driveshaft.

3 in lift automatic. I didn’t remove that skid. I’ll check my front driveshaft maybe that’s what’s hitting. How did you resolve that issue?

Lower the skid with spacers.

If that is what it is, you will see the mark on the driveshaft.

I took mine off, and replaced it with an integrated oil/transmission skid.
