I have a grinding sound coming what sounds like my front diff. When I engage 4x4 it gets worse. I have the cover off and everything looks good. Not sure what this pin is but it is sticking out in the hole. Anybody know if this is normal?

If I pull the passenger shaft it goes away.
I replaced everything on the passenger side 2 in the last month.
Any idea on what to check?
