Half door sliding window glass replacement.

So here's the deal!
One of the sliding window panels on my drivers side half-doors shattered yesterday. Let's just say I left them in a "safe" place but through my negligence caused it to shatter. Any ideas where to get that replaced? I see no markings of any specific brand on the door. Thanks in advance.

If there is no company designation, check with a glass shop. They can cut it for you custom.

Any updates?! Best top replied to me yesterday that they dont sell replacment glass. Hate to buy a new set or 1 piece of glass.

Only having my TJ since April this year this is the first I've seen this thread. I wonder what jplyfe ended up with to get this fixed.

I owned a glass shop (in the resent past) and from what I remember pre-made replacements were never available. I'm sure laminated glass is too thick and standard glass is certainly not safe to use. That leaves tempered glass as the only real option. I'd suggest taking both sides (good and bad) to a glass shop. They'll use the good side as a template to cut a new piece to shape, send it out to get it tempered and install it when they get it back. I wish I could remember what kind of price to expect but if your half doors are in decent shape it's worth it.

Get a peice of plexiglass and lay out the shape you need. Score both sides with a utility knife and snap it off..

I was going to add to the end of my post "if the doors aren't in decent shape plexiglass would work". It's definitely cheaper but it gets scuffed up easily and over time gets cloudy from the sun like modern headlights.

You're probably right about the Plex. I was just thinking it's cheap and quick and easy..
You could even check with local glass sshops. One here in town will cut glass to order.
