Half doors

How do half doors do on the highway? Considering some for this summer for cruising and whatever with the soft top down. But running no doors (I live a number of miles from town) on gravel roads/highway was dang windy. Windows down was fine, but somehow the tub must create an air vacuum down low. Also the lil nub on the full doors looks weird without a top on.

They are like being in a convertible. I always hated driving with no doors but love my half doors.

Did about 130 miles on the highway last week to/from the trail with my half doors and top down. Best combination.

Sounds like half doors would be exactly what I was expecting. Will have to find me a set then…

It depends on which half you’re using…. for example, if you drive around with just the upper half on and you’re not wearing any clothes, it looks kind of weird…..

Realistically, they can make the difference between a cool ride being tolerable and absolutely freezing to death

You’ll feel safer in the vehicle


You have a great place to hang your arm

They are effortless to open and close

If it rains, you get a an advantage if you run big tires from things slinging up on you

Have had Jeeps with full soft doors, full hard doors, and my current TJ has half doors, which are by FAR my favorite. Generally can do 8 months of the year with half doors and no top with a decent vest and gloves (until this god-awful winter, but hopefully that doesn't happen again for a while).

Half doors are the only way to go when wheeling. You have better visibility and they are easier to lean out with for spotting. The soft uppers are easy to pull off and on when driving to or from the trails also or if you get caught in the rain.

Finally got real half doors, I love them. Yes they’re loud but they seal well with soft uppers and they’re great to hang your arm out while driving

I know I'm looking forward to having real half doors. I finally found a decent set this winter.

I have a not so decent set that I'm contemplating throwing aluminum skins on and making into my trail doors too.
