Hard top windows leak

If the seals on your hardtop are too thick (the one at the windshield frame and those on the sides at the body), your hardtop will sit too high at the doors. Someone sells a "heavy duty" hardtop seal kit, and the seals are about 3x the OE seal thickness.

I get water in front and rear footwells during heavy rain. Have not been able to track down the leak.
Doesn't leak when driving in the rain either.

Are your tub mucket seals still in place? I know those can sometimes get removed if the hardtop is ever removed.
Yes , mine leaks at the top of the door frames , then down onto the plastic door cover , then to the floor boards .
Both sides , the passenger side is the worst .

Have you cleaned out the crowl area?

often a source for floorboard leaks.

I didn't, mainly because there was water in the rear footwells too. There's a support structure under the front seats that (to my way of thinking) would prevent the water traveling to the rear.
I will take a look though.
