Has anyone modified or done something different with the factory 2.5 air intake?

Had a mishap where my air intake box that connects to my throttle body has cracked. It's on a 2.5 l. These are really hard to come by that I'm finding out. I don't have any want to put a cold air intake on but need to do something to go to the filter from the throttle body. Has anybody out there modified or done something different with their OEM air intakes?

just so happens that I have and wanting to sell a RESONATOR, Air Cleaner that I just removed. It is in great shape. It does not have the rubber coupling piece that goes from the resonator to the throttle body. I needed that for an extension for the 4.0 air intake tube.

the resonator is the big square intake portion. I have an air filter box and the hose that goes between the two. if you need those as well

I don't need those mine are good, just the big square one that sits on top of the throttle body. Does it have any broken pieces on it? Does it bolt to the engine correctly?

I did not realize the mounts had cracks like that but that is the only damage on it.

I want to say thank you so much for responding to me. Unfortunately I'm going to have to pass on this. Mine only has one of the legs broken off but still works perfectly. I'm going to build a support and repair mine. I feel I would have to do the same thing to yours in a little while. But thank you so much.

no problem no worries. I wasn't aware of the cracks in the mounts that mine has. I never looked that close at them.

I hope you are able to repair yours. Post pics of the repair when you are finish.
