A couple of years ago my heater and a/c would only work in the high setting (‘03 Wrangler Sahara). This morning it quit working altogether. What gives, and is it an easy fix?

Assuming you mean the blower, the resistor pack is the most likely problem since you were missing the lower speeds.

But it could also be a bad resistor pack and now the blower is bad as well. The high speed on the resistor pack doesn't normally fail.

Since none of the fan speeds work; remove the climate control console and inspect the wiring harness going to the fan speed control switch looking for signs of overheating.
Remove the glove compartment door and inspect the wiring harness going to the speed control resistor looking for signs of over heating.
Then check the condition of fuse 1 (40A) in the PDC supplying power to the inside fan motor.
The problem could also be the fan motor relay.
