Shortly after I got stationed on the panhandle of Fl my mother came down to visit from up north. As I was driving through my neighborhood she said "a lot of your neighbor's last names start with A don't they?".

I asked her what the hell she was talking about and she said "all the little flags everywhere with an A on them, that's their last name right??"

I said no mom, that's for Alabama. It's a thing down here.
