Hello all, was creeping on the internet. And had used a lot of solid information from it to make my purchase today. I figured I’d join as I plan on keeping my new purchase for a while and will need the expertise from fellow enthusiasts. Because of financial reasons we had to get rid of my daily driver and I had to find something budget friendly… and paid off. I had a 2007 wrangler which I liked but it was involved in a fender accident where I was rear ended and after fixing the frame it didn’t drive right. I still wanted jeep as I remember learning to drive my dad’s 97 5 speed and his 47 Willie’s. I remember him telling me how bullet resistant the little engines on the older models were. So looking on market place I found a TJ 99 wrangler about 3 hour drive. It looked good on the limited photos and for a 99 had 134,200 miles on it. Not bad considering that my 2019 car that I was given up had 98k miles.. 70 plus of those I put in myself… I won’t be driving as much anymore anyway. Well I think I got a good deal and I purchased it today and drove it all the way back. Great ride lol. I’ll post more information on it plus pictures but I think it will do me well. It came with both hard and soft top. It is dark green. I would say besides a good clean and surface rust clean and treatment I would want to swap headlights and tail lights with led conversion kits. Preferably plug in play but I believe I would need the voltage regulators. Anyway I’m from Green Bay Wisconsin and thank you for reading my long intro and start. I’m really excited.
