Can someone help identify the rear swing out tire carrier on my TJ? The PO didn't install it himself and I'm not sure which brand it is.

I think that's an issue with where he's got his license plate mounted, not the tire carrier. It looks like he'd be smacking the plate every time he opens his tailgate...
X2, that's the outstanding nearly bulletproof OR-Fab spare tire carrier. I installed that onto both of my TJs, I don't know of any better/stronger designs.
And X2 to it not being the cause of it closing over the license plate, that's due to the license plate no longer being mounted in the correct location. You can see my OR-Fab carrier isn't closing onto the license plate. Mine isn't moved over toward the driver's side, it's only bent to curve around the edge.

Thanks everyone for helping identify the tire carrier. I only have one screw holding up the license plate right now. I need to modify so the plate doesn't get in the way of the carrier and tailgate.
