Help Needed — Identifying Parts

My jeep has a strange creak that occurs when I moved the steering. I was moving the steering back and forth to the extreme positions in an attempt to identify this. When I moved the steering all the way to the left, I heard a loud "clunk", and two parts fell onto the ground. Can anyone tell me what these fell off of, and what might have caused this? Each of these rings is about 2" in diameter.

Okay, so I found out it's a retainer for the "to chassis" bushing on my JKS track bar. I guess I'll call them and find out what I've done wrong.

Second time I am reading about a johnny joint coming apart. What gives?

You can absolutely rebuild the joint, your call to JKS will have you some new parts in the mail.

Any idea what might have caused this?
