Someone had asked for a pic but I can't find the thread or who posted. So here it is,

That was me. Yeah it fits fine in that area. Talking about the area covered up by your short console. My FIL has no console at all, so the two front pieces don’t overlap in that area.

Oh, yea, it only goes under the console maybe an inch.
