Hidden Falls Off-Road Adventure

On Saturday me, @Blackoutt, @b0xcar and @KCsTJ met up at Hidden Falls OHV Park. Got my antenna tuned thanks to @b0xcar. This post is dedicated to him and his sweet MetalCloak built TJ.

Three of us; @Blackoutt , @KCsTJ and myself arrived before @b0xcar. We went up to Wildcat Mt for a Patriotic pic. Here’s to the Red, White and Blue. Thanks for your service @Blackoutt! This post is dedicated to him. He was in front and I was in back, so I had a hard time getting pics of him!

@KCsTJ made the trip down from Lake Lavon. He’s running the 4 angry squirrels like a pack of wolves all day! He’s looking for a 4.0 to build up, but in the meantime he loves getting off-road in his ‘97 2.5! This post is devoted to him. Wish I had more!

Looks like a great place! Be careful pulling someone in reverse like in one of the pics for a couple reasons, a strap or chain break can send it barreling towards the head of the driver also its easiest to cause ring and pinion problems while pulling in reverse like smoothed over teeth or broken teeth. I learned this lesson once and then the shop that did my gears last told me this too

This way is probably not the correct way either but it worked. We had a problem with the recovery vehicle sliding while winching. I was thinking just hook another jeep up behind the main recovery vehicle for added weight. Then use a snatch block on the main recovery vehicle to double the line strength. We did not have a 2inch recovery hitch (I will have one next time out now) to hook up two vehicles in a row. So then decided to hook up this way. Can the experts guide us in the right direction if this is not the correct way to recover a vehicle. Thanks!
