Hood pop up spring Very worn

Is replacing my hood pop up spring something I should replace immediately or no?

It's only purpose in life is to allow you to easily pull the release lever when you open the hood. If you get tired of fighting the hood when you open it then replace the spring, otherwise follow the above advice.

I took mine out to stop hood flutter on the highway, I like it much better with out it on. It's not difficult to open the hood with no spring.

Ha I guess I forgot the hood is supposed to pop up a little.

Daystar has a kit with stronger replacement hood latches that fixes that.
