What is missing to keep device mounted in trim?
How do you get the existing black plastic mount piece off of the round metal sleeve?

Trim ring on the lighter is broken and chipped away so it will not snap in place. Better off just getting an aftermarket replacement. Something like this is a popular option to replace the lighter.

Great idea, probably better off with this anyway.
I would like to just replace the plastic mount for now. I cant get a positive on the P/N 4793555 as the mount piece for a 1999. Some sites yes other no??

Highly doubt you will find a new one of those, better off on ebay...
