Are those bird droppings?

Have you tried soap, and a stiff bristle brush? The top‘s fabric really needs some agitating to get it really clean.

Normally I use a ladder which enables me to use my stuff bristle brush and soap to cover every inch of the soft top.

I just rub it in really good with my sponge. But I get that faded look I want that dark black look.

Well your fabric top was likely treated from the factory with a protectant and repellant. That layer of protection gets broken down over time, leading to less rain/water repelling on the fabric. And a more faded look.

Here is an example of the type of brush that I use.

Here is a protectant that may bring back the deep color it once was.

My soft top had been dirty for YEARS, ever since I bought it really, I tried Dawn dish soap with a bristle brush, car shampoo, and nothing would get the dirt out until I used RaggTopp cleaner. It smells like dead fish so they must have some special ingredient in the bottle that works differently than other soaps.

Adams polishes interior carpet and upholstery cleaner. A stiff bristle brush then rinse. Looks new after. I then like to use a protective from 303.

I am really surprised at rag tops cleaner and protectant product. Literally amazed at how clean the top is. All the sap, dirt and grime from a year of sitting on the top all swept away with this product. Thank you to all that recommended it, I’ll be stocking up on the cleaner for years now.
