Identifying my differentials

Just bought a 2000 TJ Sport. Where are the identifying marks on the diffs? I imagine they are not on the removable cover, as that doesn't seem to be the original. I see some close to the housing and some a little further out.

Any education on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

There would have been a tag like this from the factory.

If you post pictures of the rear differential we can tell you what it is. The front is a low pinion Dana 30 unless it's been swapped.

Just use RTV

I just dug through some receipts to see a rear axle "Spicer 35 w/o ABS".

Yep 35 rear.

Do you know what the front is? I have nothing in those receipts on it. Looks like it is stock (unchanged).?

WRT diff cover gaskets, I like LubeLocker's for no-mess install (or removal). I've using them exclusively for 25 years with zero leaks. Some aftermarket covers that utilize welded steel gussets tend to be "less than flat", thus need a complete bead of RTV sealant. No problem with LubeLockers on OEM stamped covers or (in my experience) aftermarket cast or nodular iron covers.

Dana 30 / Dana 35 was standard (Dana 44 rear optional) on all but the 2003-2006 Rubicon which utilized Dana 44 front and rear. Your front if original is a Dana 30 and your rear as already confirmed is a Dana 35. LubeLocker gaskets are available from Amazon and elsewhere.
